Uh, I don't know...maybe to actually play games? And more precisely a wide variety of games, not limited to RTS or FPS genres? Or maybe to be even more precise to play a wide variety of games exclusive to your platform, as in, geared specifically towards its strengths and fully optimised for it?
Or maybe to make sure they'll be able to play their games with an actual controller in their hands, not peripherals which were originally designed to move ...

Doesn't look that much better than the console versions to be honest. Yes, I watched the vid in 1080p, too. Some textures like the brick/stones walls at the beginning look unbelievably flat for a 2011 game! O_o'

I don't know, usually in GT games I just buy all the most powerful & expensive stuff and call it a day. But I do occasionally end up playing with cars that just suck regardless of their power, like cars that keep making a horrible sound all the time as if I were skidding, except I'm not. I have no idea why.

No you're not the only one. xbox version has way too high contrast and has more jaggies. Overall the PS3 version is the one closest to the PC version.
